In January of 2011, the Supervisors of Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Wilkins & Associates and NEPA Management Associates, Inc. decided that they wanted to become more involved in the local politics in the Pocono Mountains. They felt that it was their way to give back to the community that they live and work in, but more than that, studying the candidates, understanding the policies and positions that the individual candidates and governing bodies take as they develop in our area and the overall direction of local government has a direct relationship to the industry that the Supervisors, Managers and Dept heads are employed in--the Real Estate industry.

Changes in zoning, sub-division laws, sprinklers and new construction in residential homes and other items are all things have an impact on the continued growth of the real estate industry in the Poconos and the continued employment of people in the real estate industry.

It's for that reason that Dominick J. Sacci, President was asked to survey our Agents and employees and find out who was interested in being a part of the Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Wilkins & Associates political action Committee. Much to Dominick's surprise, there was an incredible amount of talent that had an interest in being a part this committee from both Management and our Agents.

In mid-February the Committee formally met for the first time. They named themselves the "Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Wilkins & Associates Voter Action Committee"…VAC for short.

The initial VAC Committee has a total of 8 committee members. The Committee will be co-chaired by Christine Scrofano, V.P./Associate Broker.

The first course of action that the committee wanted to do was to make voter registration as easy as possible for all of those who live in Monroe County. This educational website will give you detailed information on voting; tell you how you can become a poll worker or a bi-lingual interpreter on Election Day and a whole lot more.
